Youngest WWE Champion

There are many WWE Superstars who attained success at the very young age like John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Shawn Michael, Rey Mysterio etc. But the question always remained unanswered who is the youngest WWE champion ever?

Well, the answer is Randy Orton, the youngest WWE champion ever. But not everyone will agree with it since there is much more to the championship than just naming one of the wrestlers.

First of all, Brock Lesnar became the youngest undisputed WWE champion at the age of 25 years, 1 month, 13 days in 2002. This happened at the SummerSlam when Brock Lesnar had a match with ‘The Rock’ in 2002 for the Undisputed Championship, just a month later, after his 25th birthday and he conquered ‘The Rock’ and owned the title as the youngest champion ever.

But in 2004, Randy Orton defeated Chris Benoit in the SummerSlam main event that made him the youngest WWE champion at the age of 24 years, 4 months, 14 days.

Randy Orton became the title holder for the World Championship along with his earlier World Heavyweight Championship, Universal Championship, and WWE Championship at the age of just 24 years as said above.

But that also last for long. After defeating Benoit, Triple-H group turned on him just 24 hours after the match was Randy was left stumbled as a baby face. Later at the company’s next event – ‘UNFORGIVEN’, Randy Orton was dethroned from his title which is one of the most heartbreaking events.

There are also other wrestlers who joined the wagon to become WWE champions at very young ages. These names are Yokozuna (26 years, 6 months, 2 days), The Rock (26 years, 6 months, 13 days), Undertaker (26 years, 8 months, 3 days), and others. A.J.

Styles holds the title for WWE Championship after defeating Jinder Mahal at the SmackDown Live in Manchester, England on November 2, 2017, i.e. he has been holding the record since 230 days.

As of now, Brock Lesnar holds the title for WWE Universal Championship which he won on April 2, 2017, by defeating Goldberg at the WrestleMania 33.

But talking about the youngest WWE champion, he is one and only ‘Randy Orton’, although he didn’t hold the title for long he is the youngest champion.
